Farms for Change is building a healthy, sustainable food system by promoting regenerative agriculture and providing fresh, premium-quality produce to low-income communities while addressing the related problems of environmental degradation, inequality and poor human health.
Farms for Change is an innovative partnership between The New Farm and Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC). The annual Farms for Change event, which began in support of the Stop Community Food Centre thirteen years ago, raises funds to provide local, organic produce to The Stop and more than 15 other Community Food Centres and good food organizations throughout Southern Ontario. This event is run by an army of volunteers including our amazing community of chefs, friends and neighbours. 100% of proceeds go towards purchasing vegetables from The New Farm and other local farms.
