\nAfter nearly twenty years in business, The New Farm is transforming into a not-for-profit centre dedicated to making agriculture part of the solution to climate change and food insecurity. We\u2019ll continue to grow top-quality produce, but our focus is now on developing and spreading farming practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sequester carbon in our soils while producing healthy, nutrient-dense foods for our communities.<\/p>\n

\nTo develop, demonstrate and advocate for a regenerative farming system that mitigates climate change, fosters healthy ecosystems and communities, and improves farmer livelihoods.<\/p>\n

We envision The New Farm Centre as a gathering place for change-makers, where farmers and eaters can see climate-friendly farming in action.<\/p>\n

\nWe develop, demonstrate and promote regenerative farming practices. We support practical, farmer-centric, science-based policy development for climate change mitigation and adaptation.<\/p>\n

We strive for a healthy and equitable food system by growing food for low income communities.<\/p>\n

\nIn addition to growing vegetables and raising livestock using the full suite of regenerative practices, we develop and test new practices to reduce on-farm emissions and sequester carbon in our soils.<\/p>\n

We demonstrate the power of regenerative agriculture to a wide range of visitors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

\nWe work with farmers and landowners in the community around Creemore, Ontario to promote regenerative farming practices. By donating the majority of the vegetables grown on the farm to a network of good food organisations, we help low-income communities access the highest quality, most nutritious produce.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

\nFor almost twenty years, Gillian and Brent owned and operated The New Farm, a profitable organic vegetable operation near Creemore, Ontario. In 2024 they transformed their farm business into The New Farm Centre.<\/p>\n
