Come help us plant trees in our new silvopasture area for our regenerative cattle herd! \u00a0We will be planting a new area of the farm in silvopasture. Silvopasture is a regenerative agroforestry practice that intentionally integrates trees, forage\/pasture, and livestock on the same land, increasing biodiversity, improving soil health, providing shade and food for animals, while sequestering 5\u201310 times more carbon than conventional pastures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Join us at The New Farm Centre for an engaging, farmer-led field day showcasing innovative applications of regenerative organic agriculture in a mixed vegetable and livestock production system. <\/span><\/p>\n

This hands-on event will feature demonstrations of practices such as managing cover crops with livestock, pastured poultry production, minimal till vegetable production and mechanization of leafy greens harvesting.<\/span><\/p>\n
