The Farmer Advocate Training program is designed to give Canadian farmers and ranchers the practical communications skills they need to be more effective advocates for sustainable, climate-friendly agriculture. Producers who are working to lower their greenhouse gas emissions, build resilience, lower input use and\/or improve soil health on their farms are encouraged to apply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When is the training?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The training will take place on March 26 and 27, 2026 at the New Farm Centre in Creemore, Ontario, about an hour and a half north-west of Toronto Pearson Airport. Participants will travel to the farm on March 25 and return home on March 28. Participants must be available for both full days of the training, plus a 1-2 hour Zoom meeting in advance of the workshop (date to be announced).<\/span><\/p>\n

This program is open to all producers based in Canada. Priority will be given to producers who are already working to improve the environmental performance of their farm and who want to build their communication and advocacy skills. The ideal applicant is:<\/span><\/p>\n
