The New Farm Centre (NFC) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our stakeholders and supporters. The following policy states how your personal information will be collected and used by NFC.
Last updated: January 2025
PERSONAL INFORMATION
We occasionally collect information from NFC supporters and program participants in order to provide the best services we can. Please know that no matter how we collect this information (through the website, social media, email, by phone or in-person) we don’t sell, trade or otherwise transfer any personally identifiable information about you (like your email address, phone number, mailing address or anything else) to any third party. We do not sell or trade NFC subscription lists.
As a subscriber to NFC news and events, we will keep you up to date about events, programs and services via email newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive e-newsletter communications from NFC, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the e-newsletter.
WEBSITE
We use cookies on NFC’s website to improve your experience. Cookies are small bits of data that websites or internet service providers put on your computer to know which pages you visit, and how much time you spend on them. You can disable the use of cookies through your internet browser if you don’t want websites using them. This website contains links to other sites – please be aware that NFC is not responsible for the privacy practices of other such sites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal data.
PAYMENTS
NFC does not store any credit card information. Keeping your personal financial information private is vitally important to us; therefore, NFC does not manually process credit card payments.
DONATIONS
We accept donations via Canada Helps. If you make a donation greater than $25, you will receive your tax receipt from Canada Helps prior to March of the year following the donation.
PHOTOGRAPHS
NFC reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken at NFC events on the NFC website, in newsletters, and various social media outlets. Photographs may be shared with newspapers, magazines, and other media. Please alert NFC event staff if you do not wish to have your photograph taken at an NFC event, or contact info@thenewfarm.ca if you would like us to remove a photograph of you from our materials.
UPDATING THE PRIVACY POLICY
We regularly review these privacy practices and update the policy. Please check this website on an on-going basis for information on our most up-to-date policies and practices.
